James T. Barry III Vice Chairman President and Chief Executive Officer, The Barry Company

Jim Barry is President and CEO of Barry Commercial Real Estate Services, a real estate investment, brokerage and consulting firm headquartered in Milwaukee.  Mr. Barry is a graduate of Marquette University High School, the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as editor-in-chief of the University of Chicago Law Review.  Prior to joining the Barry Company, Mr. Barry clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and practiced law at Foley & Lardner in Milwaukee. 

 

Mr. Barry has served on numerous corporate, civic and charitable boards, including serving as chairman of the Commercial Association of Realtors of Wisconsin, president of the Rotary Club of Milwaukee, chairman of the American Red Cross of Greater Milwaukee, chairman of the Wisconsin Policy Forum, co-chairman of the United Performing Arts Fund and Wisconsin Chairman of the American Association of the Order of Malta.  He has served as a director of the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, C.G. Schmidt Corporation, Colliers U.S.A. and numerous other organizations.

 

Mr. Barry co-founded the Milwaukee Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society and is a member of the Federalist Society’s Board of Visitors.  He served as Finance Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin and has served as chairman of the Wisconsin Institute of Law & Liberty since it was founded.  Mr. Barry lives in Milwaukee with his wife and four children.
