The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has been invited to play in the second annual Spring for Music festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City in May 2012.  Spring for Music's philosophy is to provide "an idealized laboratory, free of the normal marketing and financial constraints, for an orchestra to be truly creative with programs that are interesting, provocative and stimulating."

The inaugural festival will be in May 2011.  The 2012 event, a six-day series of showcase performances, will also include the Houston, Edmonton, New Jersey, Alabama, and Nashville orchestras.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee substantially supports MSO.
