GreatSchools Milwaukee has released the third edition of its Milwaukee School Chooser and its Spanish counterpart Listado de Escuelas de Milwaukee.  The guides make understanding school-achievement data much easier for parents and feature a workbook to walk them through the process of selecting a school.

Thirty-three percent of private schools in the city voluntarily agreed to include their test scores in the Milwaukee School Chooser 2010-2011, up from 24% last year.  More than 15,000 have already been distributed, including via public libraries, welfare and public-service agencies, churches, and family-owned grocery stores in low-income neighborhoods.

More guides will be distributed throughout January, when GreatSchools Milwaukee will also host its second annual City-wide High School Fair.

Milwaukee's Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation supports GreatSchools' work in the city.
