Milwaukee's Florentine Opera Company celebrated its 75th anniversary in May with a special concert performed by world-renowned guest artists Cynthia Lawrence (soprano), Robynne Redmon (mezzo soprano), Jonathan Boyd (tenor), and Mark Doss (baritone) at the city's Marcus Center for the Performing Arts

Maestro Joseph Rescigno led the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra (MSO) in an evening of acclaimed arias and beloved ensembles from world-famous operas, including Carmen, The Flying Dutchman, The Pearl Fishers, Norma, The Abduction from the Seraglio, and others.

Founded by John-David Anello, the Florentine Opera is Wisconsin's oldest fully professional performing-arts organization and the sixth-oldest opera company in the United States.  It is substantially supported by Milwaukee's Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, as is the MSO.
