ON-Lion Letter
Former Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas president Robert D. McTeer said in Milwaukee in mid-October that America's financial crisis is more serious "than anybody ever dreamed" and is still going to get worse.

He outlined some causes of the crisis and defended the government's response to it.  "What we've got here is a major, major national emergency," said the distinguished fellow of Dallas's National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA), which Bradley substantially supports.  "And for somebody to sit in the cheap seats and say, 'Let 'em fail,' that is just too big a price to pay.

"I'd like to remain ideologically pure, but there is just too much to lose, so I'm willing to bend."
