The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special gala dinner on Friday, September 26, at The Fairmont Dallas.  Retired U.S. Army Gen. Tommy Franks will be the dinner's keynote speaker.  Franks' last post was as Commander of the United States Central Command, overseeing U.S. armed forces' operations in a 25-country region, including the Middle East.  Sponsorship opportunities and individual tickets for the gala are all currently available online.

During the last quarter century, the Dallas-based NCPA has made many valuable contributions to public-policy discourse and development.  Because of the NCPA idea of health savings accounts, for one example, 10 million families are now managing some of their own health-care dollars.  Because of the NCPA idea of Roth IRAs, for another, $145 billion in savings has been taxed once and will never be taxed again.

Prior to the NCPA dinner, from September 24 through 26, the Atlas Economic Research Foundation will hold its international conference in Dallas on “Risk in a Free Society.”  Conference speakers, panelists, and participants will share their views on how to deal with the enhanced risks of totalitarianism and terrorism, while preserving the liberties we so cherish.  Registration for the conference is also available online.

Several other special anniversary activities are also planned, including a golf tournament at the prestigious TPC Craig Ranch Golf Course and an evening of Texas-style entertainment, food, and fun at the world famous Eddie Deen’s Ranch in downtown Dallas.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee substantially supports NCPA.
