ON-Lion Letter

St. Thomas More (STM) High School announced this fall the appointment of Nicholas J. Kelly as principal. Mr. Kelly has been at STM for eight years, first as a teacher, and then as vice principal and dean of students.

Mr. Kelly is a native Wisconsinite, born in Howard’s Grove. He has bachelor’s degree in public policy and general management, and a master’s degree in educational leadership.  Although he originally intended to go to law school, he attributes his upbringing in the Catholic faith and a desire to serve as the reasons for his decision to pursue a career in education, and he believes that the sense of small town community he had during his childhood is what drew him to the family environment of STM.

Mr. Kelly is part of a new administration at St. Thomas More, led by President Mary McIntosh.

St. Thomas More is a co-educational Catholic high school on the near south side of Milwaukee. It draws students from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds, and is a participant in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program. It has an award winning Science, Technology, Engineering and Math curriculum that is part of the well-established Project Lead the Way technology and sciences pre-college program.  As part of its theological training, St. Thomas More also boasts a robust Center for Servant Leadership and Civic Engagement.

St. Thomas More is supported by the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.
