In March, The New Criterion and the new CO2 Coalition co-hosted a conference about "The Climate Surprise:  Why CO2 is Good for the Earth" in New York City.

The conference featured two sessions, one on the facts about CO2 and climate and another on the CO2, the environment, and the economy.  International bestselling author Mark Steyn delivered a keynote address.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee substantially supports The New Criterion, a monthly review of arts and the intellectual life.

Founded by Princeton University physicist William Happer, the CO2 coalition will seek to engage thought leaders, policymakers, and the public in an informed, dispassionate discussion of how our planet will be affected by CO2 released from the combustion of fossil fuel.  Its members believe that additional CO2 will be a net benefit.
