ON-Lion Letter

Every Summer, The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) in Washington, D.C., hosts a Legal Studies Institute (LSI) for law students from around the country who are passionate about public policy and the law.  LSI's intensive schedule maximizes its participants' time in Washington by combining learning in the classroom with practical internship experience.

It consists of:  an academic course on the Economic Foundation of Legal Studies, accredited by George Mason University School of Law; legal internships with private law firms, public-interest legal organizations, and legal departments of trade associations, corporations, and government agencies throughout the Washington area; guest lectures and panel discussions featuring policy and legal experts' site briefings at key legal institutions and courts; and professional-development seminars, a mentor program, and networking events.

This year's LSI will be from May 26-July 29.  The final deadline for applications is March 16.  Application information is available online.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee supports TFAS activities, including LSI.
