ON-Lion Letter
On January 18, 2008, "Body Worlds:  The Original Exhibition of Real Human Bodies," will open at the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM).  Created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens"Body Worlds" is the most highly attended touring exhibition in the world.  It offers visitors a rare, unique opportunity to see the complexity of human anatomy and physiology, from more than 200 authentic individual organs to whole bodies.

"Body Worlds" features authentic human specimens preserved through a preservation technique called Plastination, which replaces bodily fluids and fat with reactive plastics and thus preserves human tissue in its natural state.  Plastination allows bodies to be displayed in a durable and lifelike fashion, providing a fascinating opportunity to appreciate what it really means to be human.

All of the bodies in the exhibit were willed by donors for the express purpose of serving "Body Worlds'" mission of educating the public about health and anatomy.

Advance ticket purchases are strongly recommended by MPM, which is substantially supported by The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.

Tickets are purchasable online, by calling (414) 223-4676, and at MPM.
