ON-Lion Letter

If you've sat in on some college classes, you've probably heard that free-market capitalism is bad -- especially for poor people -- and that it's greedy and heartless.

In a September video course from Prager University, economist Walter Williams explains why "the free market is not only economically superior, it is morally superior to any other way of organizing economic behavior."  His five-minute "Is Capitalism Moral?" discusses why government compulsion takes power away from people like you and me, and why the free market increases our power to make businesses accountable to our needs.

Williams is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University.
