On Memorial Day the American Veterans Center held its National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C.  The event was featured celebrities, singers, and special guests who paid tribute to those who put on the uniform of the U.S. military.  Veterans of World War II served as Grand Marshals.

This year's parade commemorated its 10th anniversary, the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, and the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War.

The largest Memorial Day event in the nation, it was broadcast live to troops stationed around the globe.  The parade is a testament to the public's desire to honor those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom on the sacred day.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee supports the American Veterans Center.
