ON-Lion Letter

When he was younger, Kevin Looney participated for many years in activities of the Milwaukee's Running Rebels Community Organization, including its historic basketball program.  Now, Looney is entering the NBA Draft in June.

As a freshman on the team at the University of California-Los Angeles, Looney averaged 11.6 points and a team-high 9.2 rebounds.  His 15 double-doubles were tops among freshmen nationally, and his rebounds were second-best nationally among freshmen.

Looney attended Milwaukee's Hamilton High School.

He speaks inspiringly about Running Rebels and his longtime coach and mentor there, Shelby Parish, in this video.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee supports Running Rebels, one of the city-s most-effective youth organizations.
