ON-Lion Letter

James Ceaser, the Harry F. Byrd Professor of Politics at the University of Virginia, received the Jeanne Kirkpatrick Academic Freedom Award at the 42nd Annual Ronald Reagan Dinner during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Md., in February.

An internationally recognized and celebrated political scholar, Ceaser directs the university's Program for Constitutionalism and Democracy and is a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and frequent contributor to both The Weekly Standard and National Review.  In addition to his scholarship, je is an active, courageous voice for students and traditional American values at the university.

The Jeanne Kirkpatrick Academic Freedom Award was established to recognize professors who uphold such values.  It is bestowed upon academic leaders who are actively addressing the overwhelmingly liberal bias in academia.  The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee supports the award.
