ON-Lion Letter

True or false:  free enterprise is unfair, it hurts the poor, it is driven by greed, breeds envy, and caused the Great Recession.
Many people -- especially those with a college degree -- would answer "true" to every claim.  In a January Prager University course, "Myths, Lies and Capitalism," economist and author Arthur Brooks shows why these five claims are false.  Free enterprise actually helps the poor, lack of free enterprise caused the recession, and greed and envy have no place in a free market, Brooks teaches in the short video.

Brooks is president of the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Washington, D.C.  The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation in Milwaukee supports both Prager University and AEI.
