During its 2012 Freedom Flame Award Dinner in New York in May, the Center for Security Policy (CSP) gave its Terry Elkes Sacred Honor Award to The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation of Milwaukee.  The Sacred Honor Award is named after the solemn vow made by the signers of the Declaration of Independence when they wrote, "We mutually pledge our lives, our fortune, and our sacred honor."

CSP gave Bradley the award "[i]n recognition of philanthropy in the service of national security" and "for its tireless commitment to promoting freedom and the American experiment.

"We salute the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation's incalculable contribution to the strengthening of American democratic capitalism and the institutions, principles, and values that sustain and nurture it," CSP said.  The award was presented by CSP founder and president Frank Gaffney.

During the dinner, CSP also gave its Freedom Flame Award to former U.S. Attorney General Michael B. Mukasey and its Freedom's Shield Award to retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John K. Singlaub.

The Bradley Foundation supports CSP.
